The iPhone 8 launch event is set for September 12 after Apple sent out invites for its annual September showcase, where the world will get its first look at Apple’s new iPhone(s).
If the rumours are true then we could see three new iPhone handsets arriving at the launch, with the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus joined by the eagerly awaited iPhone 8 (or iPhone Edition, or iPhone X, or whatever they decide to call it).
However this special event, which Apple host annually isn’t all about the iPhones. If the rumours are correct, Apple will also be unveiling a new 4K Apple TV and at the same time, we expect to find out more information on Apple’s smart speaker, HomePod, which was briefly shown off earlier in the year at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference.
Anyway, here’s what you need to know about the launch of the new iPhone.
When is the launch?
The launch will take place on September 12, 2017, at 10:00 am PST, or 6:00 pm if you’re in the UK.
Where is the iPhone launch?
There is something special about this years location for the new iPhone launch, as it’ll be taking place at the underground Steve Jobs Theatre at Apple’s brand new campus in Cupertino, California.
What is the iPhone 8?
The iPhone 8 is the big upgrade smartphone Apple is heavily rumoured to launch on September 12, with the handset tipped to boast a bezeless display, wireless charging and even an under-screen fingerprint scanner.
Having said that, the majority of these features are just rumours for now, but there is not long to wait until we find out what futuristic features the iPhone 8 really has.
